 Very few nations can be said to have had an outstanding influence on world history, but one such nation that could is England. Famous for The Royal Family and The Beatles, as well as the beginnings of the mighty Industrial Revolution in the Victorian period, England has an undisputable reputation as a modern and ethnically diverse nation. London, the capital, most recently held the Olympic Games 2012 and was a fantastic host city.

'Othello' and 'Romeo & Julliet' are but two of the plays penned by the most famous son of the English language, William Shakespeare. Other authors such as Lewis Carroll, Emily Bronte, Jane Austen, George Orwell and J.R.R. Tolkien are the writers of such astonishing novels such as, 'Alice in Wonderland', 'Wuthering Heights', 'Pride and Prejudice', '1984', and 'The Lord of the Rings'.

England is the home of several of the most well respected Universities in the world. Cambridge and Oxford are world leaders of academia and innovation. Famous for a significant music scene dating back to the Beatles, Rolling Stones and many more, Brit culture has influenced freedom of expression and individuality for countless generations of young people from all over the world. England is home to charming characters from folklore such as Robin Hood and fictional characters like Mr Scrooge in Dickens novels.

The question is..... Why not visit England? The City of London, is just one of many cities in this beautiful and historic nation. From Stonehenge, to the magnificent medieval castle of Tintagel, the green and rich countryside of England ranges from the impressive Lake District to the rolling South Downs and White Cliffs of Dover. Protected and beautiful cities like York boast ancient connections to a Viking history. England offers every experience from the rich heartlands of tranquil country estates to the stark contrasts of the bustling and lively cities of Exeter, Brighton or Nottingham.
